Honor Magic5 Pro showcased as company’s new flagship smartphone

Furthermore, Honor has equipped the Magic5 Pro with three rear-facing cameras that all output at 50 MP. According to the company, the primary camera relies on a 1/1.2-inch sensor, while the ultra-wide-angle camera has a 1/2.5-inch sensor and a 122˚ field of view (FoV). Meanwhile, Honor bases the device’s telephoto camera on the Sony IMX858, which offers 3.5x optical zoom. A 12 MP front-facing camera joins the 50 MP rear-facing set-up, as does a ToF front-facing sensor that captures depth of field information and can be used for biometrics.

Also, the Magic5 Pro will ship with MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13, plus IP68 certification, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 7 and NFC. Currently, Honor states that it will begin selling the Magic5 Pro alongside the Magic5 in Q2 2023, with no definitive release date yet. Potentially, the device could launch in mid-April, although that may not apply to all countries. Regardless, Honor will offer the Magic5 Pro in Cyan and Black colourways, both with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, for €1,199.
