Review: ACEFAST Crystal Earbuds T8

I, like many people, love to listen to music. Whether I’m walking my dog, riding my bike, or running trails, I can’t get enough of it. However, finding the right earbuds to suit each job isn’t an easy task! Some are too cumbersome, others lack build quality or battery life, and some are just plain terrible. As such, when I was offered the ACEFAST Crystal Earbuds T8 to review, I was a little hesitant.

ACEFAST isn’t a company I’ve heard of, but their products caught my eye. With stylish LED lights, a unique display setup, and a monster battery life, these earbuds promised a lot. Furthermore, at under £100, they look to be fantastic value for money as well. On top of this, they have a level 4 waterproof rating and they utilise Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. Moreover, the LDS innovative antenna ensures they are perfect for hands-free calling as well.

As you can see, these earbuds have a lot of promise. However, I’ve been stung many times in the past and I believe that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. As such, I couldn’t wait to give these feature-packed accessories a thorough going over. So, without further ado, let’s see how the ACEFAST Crystal Earbuds T8 stack up.

What’s in the box of the ACEFAST Crystal Earbuds T8?

  • The cardboard packing looks enticing and professional. Furthermore, the outer sleeve is striking thanks to the snazzy images and key selling points. Thankfully, the outer packaging and box are fully recyclable, and that’s a massive plus.
  • Internally, each item is individually packaged. Moreover, there is a combination of cardboard and non-recyclable foam. Consequently, this was a little disappointing.
  • The ACEFAST Crystal Earbuds T8 are housed in their charging case and come ready to go. However, before you use them, you must remove some plastic labels from the charging connectors. The case and earbuds come in a variety of colours and the case has a funky display.
  • A small USB-C charging cable is provided. However, any standard USB-C cable will suffice.
  • To protect the charging case, a white silicone sleeve is provided. On top of this, a white silicone wrist strap can also be used to carry the device.
  • Spare ear tips. ACEFAST knows that everyone is different. Subsequently, they’ve included 4 sizes of ear tips.
  • A simple user manual is provided to help you understand the fundamentals.

Technical aspects.

As I like using my earbuds for multiple purposes, I am pretty demanding. As such, I expect them to have great battery life and to be easy to use. Moreover, they must be rugged and hard-wearing. Thankfully, the ACEFAST Crystal Earbuds T8 ticks all of these boxes and many, many more. Accordingly, they are the perfect choice for walkers, sports people, or those that require a hands-free option. Moreover, the incredible battery life of 30 hours makes them a godsend if you are away from a charging point.

Thanks to the sturdy case, the earbuds are always juiced up. What’s more, the handy display highlights your battery level for each earbud. However, if the case is running low on power, simply connect the USB-C charging cable and you’ll be underway pretty quickly. Further to this, the earbuds have an impressive 7-hour charge. Consequently, you can do a lot of exercise before you need to dock them again.

I was taken aback by the sound quality of this device. Not only does it deliver rich bass, but it has a comfortable blend of low, mid, and high tones. What’s more, the sound doesn’t distort whenever you pump the volume or select an aggressive track.

Usability.

Where the ACEFAST Crystal Earbuds T8 excel is their usability. Thanks to Bluetooth 5.3 technology, you can connect to devices within a 100 ft/30-metre radius. Moreover, connecting to either an apple or android device is easy as pie. Simply hold the touch control on the right device and you enter pairing mode. Furthermore, there are touch controls for volume, pausing music, and taking phone calls. This was fantastic, as you didn’t have to handle your phone when you were out and about.

Talking of phone calls, the LDS antenna is an absolute godsend. Consequently, you enjoy crystal-clear communication without masses of background noise. Additionally, the other party can hear you perfectly without unwanted interference.

Design.

I was on the fence about the transparent design. At first glance, it reminded me of a fad from the early 2000s. However, the combination of vivid LEDs, the easy-to-read screen, and the array of colours made me love them. On top of this, the housing for each earbud was reassuringly secure.

Alongside this, the transparent plastic feels well-made and robust. If you then consider the level 4 waterproof rating and the choice of ear tips, this is the perfect running accessory. Accordingly, the earbuds felt snug and secure when I used them. Furthermore, they survived multiple downpours and the sound quality never faltered.

Are the ACEFAST Crystal Earbuds T8 worth it?

I’ve tried some spectacular earbuds in my time. I’ve used brands such as ROCCAT, EPOS, and JLab. Luckily, the ACEFAST Crystal Earbuds T8 comfortably compete with their peers. However, thanks to their unique look and excellent Bluetooth technology, they stand out from the competition. As such, I loved them and I recommend that you buy them here!
