SARANAC LAKE — The Women’s Civic Chamber and Hex & Hop Brewery are bringing back the Mountain MudFest for a second year.
The family-friendly festival on Saturday, April 1 is a chance for locals to come together at Mount Pisgah Recreation Area for music, food, brew and outdoor activities. Admission is free, and the event will take place in rain, snow or shine.
The highlight of this event is a cornhole tournament. The winning team’s name will be inscribed on a trophy, with medals and cash awards for the top three finishing teams. Registration fees from this Cornament, along with a percentage of each participating local vendor’s proceeds, will go to the Women’s Civic Chamber to be distributed to organizations, individuals and groups in the greater community.
The event will include live music by the Midnight Stargazers and 80k Players. Food will be offered for sale by ADK Street Eats and Tony’s Fried Dough and Confections. Locally brewed beer and mead will be available through Hex & Hop. There will be a play area and other games and activities for all ages. ADK ArtRise and Adirondack Brick will be on site with activities and crafts for children.
Mountain MudFest will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the cornhole tournament beginning at 1 p.m. Admission is free, but there is a $42 registration fee for participation in the Cornament. Register for the Cornament in advance at https://linktr.ee/mountainmudfest.
