Virat Kohli uses these earbuds from Apple and they aren’t AirPods

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently posted a video of West Indies batter Joshua Da Silva’s mother meeting with Virat Kohli. “When

Virat Kohli

made Josh’s mom’s day & “year”, read the

BCCI

‘s Twitter post. In the video, the West Indies wicketkeeper Silva’s mother is seen hugging Kohli and later broke down into tears after meeting the superstar. Incidentally, on day one of the match, stump mic reportedly caught Silva telling Kohli that his mother is coming to watch the latter. “My mom called me and told me she’s coming to watch the match for Virat Kohli, I couldn’t believe it.”

In the video, Kohli is seen wearing Apple’s earbuds. And no, there are no AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Pro Max. Kohli is wearing Beats

Powerbeats

Pro TWS. For those unaware, Beats is the company

Apple

acquired Beats Music, and Beats Electronics, which makes the popular Beats headphones, speakers and audio software, in May 2014 for $3 billion. The company is, however, still to launch Beats products in the Indian market. Apple Store in India — both online and offline — do not sell Beat products in the country.

Certain Beats TWS earbuds and headphones are available at some Apple Imagine stores as well as on some e-commerce websites. Beats Powerbeats Pro TWS earbuds are available on Amazon India website at Rs 31,500. The Powerbeats Pro TWS earbuds are also listed on

Flipkart

, but are currently showing unavailable.

In the US, they are available to purchase on Apple.com, in Apple Stores, Amazon, and other retailers for $249.95. The Powerbeats Pro first launched in 2018. Apple launched the latest version of Beats Powerbeats Pro TWS in November 2022.

In terms of specs, Apple Beats Studio Buds are a pair of true wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation and support for the company’s Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos format. The earbuds are IPX4.
