Smartphone brand Honor rolls out its latest X version, at Dh1,299

Dubai: The smartphone brand Honor has launched its latest X model iteration, promising ‘state-of-the-art amenities’ and ‘without a hefty price tag’. The retail price in the UAE is Dh1,299.

The Honor X9 5G packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 Mobile Platform, which makes the device faster than its predecessors. It also allows for greater AI processing performance to support ‘numerous real-time processing use cases’. (The model features 12MB of RAM with 256GB of storage.)

Another feature is Honor’s own ‘Ultra-Bounce Anti-drop Display’, offering resistance to drops of up to 1.5 meters and provides 360-degree protection to all six faces and four corners of the phone ‘even if dropped on a hard marble surface’. (The X9b 5G thus becomes the ‘first in the industry’ to receive a Five-Star Overall Drop Resistance certification from Switzerland’s SGS.)

“Micro-level gaps have been created in the structure of the device to deform and absorb energy, reducing the impact and acting as an airbag to prevent cracked screens or damage,” the manufacturer said in a statement.

As for model’s pic and video taking capabilities, it packs a triple camera system featuring a 108MP Lossless Capture Camera, a 5MP Ultra-Wide Camera, and a 2MP Macro Camera.

Battery life

The X9 5G’s battery charge can support up to three days of use for ‘uninterrupted work, play and entertainment on the go’. On a single charge, the manufacturer claims up to 19 hours of video playback, 12 hours of gaming, or 22 hours of social media exploring.
