Just a couple of days after the announcement of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro has gone official in China, packing the same chipset and bringing some really nice additions to an already impressive price tag.
The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro follows the design trend of becoming somewhat famous in 2024. The phone has flat sides as well as a flat display. There is a circular camera island on the back, with a prominent camera bump.
At less than $500, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro is one of the most impressive smartphones in the market
On the front of the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro, you get a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The display has support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 2,160Hz PWM dimming.
The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro is available in 12/256GB or 16/612GB configuration with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The phone is running HyperOS based on Android 14. Powering the device is a 4,700 mAh battery with 67W wired charging. There is also an in-display optical fingerprint sensor and an IR blaster for those who are still keen on using it.
Coming to the cameras, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro offers a 50-megapixel primary camera with f/1.63 aperture, Hyper OIS, and Leica Summilux lens. You are also getting a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x zoom range. Selfies are taken care of using a 32-megapixel main and a 32-megapixel secondary camera, with 78-degree and 100-degree viewing angles.
If you are interested, the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro can be yours in four colors, starting from Spring Wild Green, Soft Mist Mink, Breeze Blue, and Starry Black. However, the star of the show here is the price, as the phone starts at just CNY 2,999 or $416. There is no word on international availability, but if the company does bring the phone to the international market, it will do so under a rebrand, as the company tends to do that. Still, despite that, it is still one of the best phones, and the price tag alone makes it a worthy contender.
