Travelling can be a nightmare, especially if you’re forced to lug around chargers and plugs for every little device you have on you. Twelve South obviously had this in mind when it designed the ButterFly – the world’s smallest 2-in-1 USB-C MagSafe charger.
Allowing you to charge an iPhone and Apple Watch simultaneously on the go, the innovative gizmo easily fits in the palm of your hand. The name comes from its design, two magnetic sides that can fold in and out while connected by a hardy vegan leather strap in the middle.
Open up the two aluminium sides and you are presented with a 15W MagSafe charger on one side for the iPhone, and a fast-charging Apple Watch puck on the other. A cool feature is that the puck can be pulled out so you can enjoy the watch’s Nightstand mode.
The Butterfly itself is powered via a USB-C cable, and both sides can deliver said wattage at the same time. It’s a lovely looking and well-designed device, and comes complete with a 20W USB-C Power Adapter, four international plug adapters (US, UK, EU, AU) and a travel bag to keep it all together.
Trust Felox Gaming Mouse – available from Amazon for £9.99 (wired) and Amazon for £17.99 (wireless)
The Felox gaming mouse is available as both a wired and wireless version so gamers can make the most of their gaming sessions, whatever their preference. It is available in four colours – black, white, blue and pink.
I tested out the wired version and found the device comfortable to use and very reactive with next to no lag. You can use the included software to fine-tune the mouse’s speed, lighting and macros according to your preferences and game style.
Both feature multicolour LED lighting with four settings to fully customise the mouse’s aesthetics to suit players’ styles. They also have six buttons, including a DPI select button for speed adjustment (between 200 to 6400 DPI for the wired and 800 to 4800 DPI for the wireless), offering users control over their gaming experience.
The wireless version is connectable via a single USB receiver that can be stored inside the mouse when not in use. With a rechargeable battery, gamers can enjoy up to 80 hours of playtime on a single charge, and even continue playing while charging using the included cable.
Trust GXT 489 Fayzo Gaming Headset – available from Amazon for £29.99
Trust’s GXT 489 Fayzo Gaming Headset is designed to be an affordable and sustainable option for gamers. The headset’s impressive 50mm drivers provide a powerful sound and allows gamers to feel like they are right in the middle of their game – experiencing every footstep, race, gunshot and more with real impact.
Ideal for online play, the Fayzo has a detachable microphone with an on-ear volume and mute control to toggle controls quickly and easily. They can be used on every platform, whether PC, console or other 3.5mm device.
What makes or breaks a headset is how comfortable they are to wear for extended periods of time. I found the lightweight Fayzo to be pretty good in this regard with a design and mesh/leatherette earpads that are breathable. The adjustable headband allows each user to change it to fit their head.
Fitting with Trust’s sustainable approach, the Fayzo is made from 85% recycled plastics.
