Samsung often finds it hard to keep a lid on leaks before its big new product launches and it looks like that’s no different in 2024. The next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is rumoured to be on the horizon with several products expected including the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 Android phones, sequels to the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 folding devices Samsung unveiled this time last year.
While those two devices are all but certainly on the way thanks to existing leaks, a new clue has popped up online that all but confirms several other new Galaxy devices that we may well be about to find out about, even though an official date for Unpacked has not been announced.
A post on X from @RydahDoesTech appears to show a listing for the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Watch 7 – three products that are not announced yet. The list also shows the just-announced Galaxy Watch FE, and the unveiled but as yet unreleased Samsung Galaxy Ring, hinting that this next Unpacked event could see the wearable ring’s price confirmed and finally give some competition to the Oura Ring.
@RydahDoesTech said in a reply to his post that he found the list in the Samsung Members app when he went to file an error report for the new Galaxy Watch 6 beta. When the app asked him to select the product the error was about, it appears to have listed five unreleased and unannounced Galaxy devices, including the three we’ve not ever heard about from Samsung before.
A Galaxy Watch FE was announced by Samsung today and is a stripped back, cheaper Galaxy Watch compared to the existing Watch 6 series. However the leak also mentioned a Galaxy Watch 7 that could debut soon, which will be some sort of upgrade over the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic. We recently wrote about leaks of a potential Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra and Galaxy Watch X, so we could well see more than one new flagship watch from Samsung when the time comes (ahem).
The other new leaked products are earbuds, with the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro listed. This could have been a simple upgrade from the Buds 2 and Buds 2 Pro until we noticed the icon next to them, which appears to look much like the Apple AirPods Pro. If an accurate representation of what the Buds 3 and 3 Pro look like, it would signal a big design change to Galaxy Buds that have a stem, just like AirPods. Until now, the Galaxy Buds have been designed to be smaller, with no stem and touch controls on the outside. Often, stem designs have haptic buttons instead of touch controls.
That’s a pretty big leak, and it doesn’t even include the rumoured Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. If accurate as to what is coming, the next Unpacked event could be very busy indeed.
