Stephanie Ruhle to Interview Kamala Harris

Did Bret Stephens manifest this? When MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle appeared alongside The New York Times opinion columnist on Real Time with Bill Maher last week, Stephens suggested that Vice President Kamala Harris swing by The 11th Hour host for an interview during her sprint towards Election Day.

“It would be great for her to sit down with you [Bill] or George Stephanopoulos or you, Stephanie,” Stephens remarked, suggesting that conversation might tip supposedly undecided voters like him into the Harris column.

Looks like Stephens now has his evening spoken for. Ruhle has booked a rare one-on-one interview with Harris, airing tonight at 7 p.m. ET on a two-hour episode of All In with Chris Hayes. It’s the Democratic candidate’s first interview with a major news outlet following her Sept. 10 ABC News debate with Republican rival, former President Donald Trump.

Since then, Harris has sat down with ABC’s Philadelphia affiliate, the National Association of Black Journalists and a Unite for America rally emceed by Oprah Winfrey. Prior to the debate, she and running mate Tim Walz appeared on CNN for a joint interview with Dana Bash. This is the first time that she’s appearing on a legacy news outlet for a solo conversation.

Maybe Stephens can phone into Real Time this Friday to reveal whether he’s officially moved from “undecided” to “decided.”
