Apple is expected to launch the much-anticipated iPhone SE 4 in April 2025, after a two-year gap. The last iPhone SE model, the iPhone SE 3, was released in 2022. Initially, rumors suggested that the device would arrive in March, but trusted Apple source Mark Gurman recently confirmed the release may take place in April.
Gurman debunked reports claiming the phone would launch sooner and hinted that, provided Apple sticks to its timeline, the iPhone SE 4 could arrive before the rollout of iOS 18.4. It is also expected to coincide with the release of iOS 18.3.
Yes, the new iPads and iPhone SE replacement are being developed on the iOS 18.3 train – but that doesn’t mean they launch together this month. It means they’ll launch before iOS 18.4, by April if all goes to plan. https://t.co/qaMSH1ImSW

Expected Features and Specs of iPhone SE 4
The iPhone SE 4, also rumored to be named iPhone 16e, is expected to receive multiple upgrades, making it a stronger competitor in the budget smartphone category.
The design is set to evolve from the iPhone 8-like form seen in previous SE models to one more similar to the iPhone 16. The updated design will feature a 6.06-inch OLED display, a noticeable upgrade from the older 4.7-inch LCD, offering a richer and more immersive viewing experience.
Under the hood, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to pack the A18 chipset, providing significant performance improvements. A bump in RAM from 4GB to 8GB will also contribute to smoother multitasking and better support for demanding apps, especially those incorporating Apple’s latest AI and machine learning features.
In terms of photography, the iPhone SE 4 may adopt the same rear camera system as the iPhone 16, featuring a 48-megapixel camera with a Fusion lens. This upgrade is likely to enhance photo quality, providing clearer shots and more versatile zoom features. The device is also expected to carry a 12-megapixel TrueDepth front camera for improved selfies.
Expected Price of iPhone SE 4
The iPhone SE 4’s price is estimated to start at $500 (around Rs 42,700) in markets such as the US and South Korea. As per previous models, the price in India is expected to be slightly higher, potentially reaching Rs 49,900. For reference, the iPhone SE 3 launched at Rs 43,900 in India in 2022, with a price of $429 (approx. Rs 36,700) in the United States.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the official announcement of the iPhone SE 4 and its features, which promise to make it one of the most exciting affordable iPhones to date.
