Carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy Note 20 gets June 2023 security update in the US

Last week, Samsung released the June 2023 security update to the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. However, the update was limited to the unlocked models in the US and in Latin American markets. Now, the company has released the new software update to the carrier-locked models in the US.

Galaxy Note 20 June 2023 security update: Now available in the US

The latest software update for the Galaxy Note 20’s carrier-locked version comes bearing firmware version N98xUSQU4HWF1. The update is available in the US and brings the June 2023 security patch that fixes over 60 security flaws. It doesn’t bring any new features or performance improvements, at least based on the official changelog.

If you have a Galaxy Note 20 or Galaxy Note 20 Ultra’s carrier-locked version in the US, you can now check for the new update. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the newest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 20 series in the second half of 2020 with Android 10 onboard. The phones received the Android 11 update in late 2020, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022.
