Developer Jump Over the Age and indie label Fellow Traveller recently revealed that Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is coming to Switch Jan. 31st, 2025. That will be an incredibly exciting day for fans of the franchise, but it turns out it’ll be an equally sad one as well.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Citizen Sleeper creator Gareth Damian Martin has said that as far as videogames go, Citizen Sleeper 2 is where the franchise will end. The series will continue on in the tabletop RPG space, so those who love the game world will still be able to explore it, but as far as digital gaming adventures go, it seems this is the end of the road.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector takes players to the Starward Belt, a richly realized, ramshackle set of habitats in an asteroid belt full of secrets, stories, and characters trying to make ends meet.
Players step into the shoes of a Sleeper, an emulated human mind housed in an artificial body. They are on the run from the corporation that made them and the gang that seeks to control them. To stay ahead of their pursuers, the player will have to commandeer a ship, build a network of crew and allies, and take on challenging contracts as they seek to build a future for themselves.
