Pat Arnett
Thanks to The Lord for the lovely rain that he delivered to the Fristoe area these last few days. The rain was needed very much so. We all need to realize God is good!
Time is flying by so fast this year. The first semester of school is complete whether it is high school for two of my granddaughters of first year in college for oldest one. Time just goes so fast.
Prayer request for this week are Bud Hatch, Kathy First, Lewis Retherford, Gladys Harris, Carolee Apperson, Mary Scarbrough and Dave Cunningham for this week as he is having a back operation.
A special Happy Anniversary to Ralph and Sharon Julian as they celebrate their anniversary on December 24. Beautiful day!
The schools are winding down tournaments for when all will be shut down for Christmas break. Warsaw girls played at Osceola and Stover last week and Climax Springs played at Hermitage in basketball tournament. Others have had wrestling matches also. We wish all of them great times.
The Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church are enlarging their parking lot on side and behind church building. There will be activity around the church come warmer weather as new fences and other activities will be taking place. The Lighthouse Church had a wonderful Christmas program Sunday morning with wonderful special readings, Bible and other reading and lots and lots of beautiful Christmas music. To name some; Larry Meeks and Clars Sparks, Dean Arnett and Ken Heir, Sue Bumstead, Dave and Connie Cunningham, Pastor Tony and Brenda Smith and much much more. Beautiful Sunday school lesson covered Jesus’ and John The Baptist’s births. The church will be having lots of treats of apples, oranges and all kind of candy next Sunday as well as having gifts from the church as whole. There will be trading of Christmas cards also.
Merry, Merry Christmas from Fristoe News to everyone who reads this column!
Thought for the coming week: A friend loves at all times: A true friend never gets in your way unless you are falling!
