Jaipur: Direct employment generated in the last three years as reported by recognised startups run by the department for promotion of industry and internal trade has seen a steady rise in Rajasthan, data of the ministry of labour and employment said.
From 4,710 in 2020, the latest figure went up to 11,640. In 2021, 5,631 employees were recruited, minister of state for labour and employment Rameswar Teli daid while replying to an unstarred question in Lok Sabha on February 13.
“Employment including lay-offs is a phenomenon in industrial establishments. Matters relating to lay-offs in industrial establishments are governed by provisions of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (ID Act),” the reply said. tnn
