The Metrolink Holiday Express Train is taking passengers on themed round trip rides in Southern California this season.
On Saturday, Nov. 25, passengers rode the decorated train through Riverside County from the Perris-South station to Riverside-Hunter Park/UCR and back.
“We received an extraordinary response from riders when we first introduced the Holiday Express Train in 2019, and we’re thrilled to announce its return this fall,” Metrolink CEO Darren Kettle said in a news release.
The express will make eight trips, each lasting 60 to 100 minutes. Passengers will see holiday-themed characters and carolers, and be able to take part in festive activities onboard and at the station.
The treks will take place over four Saturdays in November and December, leaving from Metrolink stations in Perris, Rancho Cucamonga, Simi Valley, Burbank and Laguna Niguel.
The Saturday, Dec. 2, rides will go through San Bernardino County, leaving from the Rancho Cucamonga station.
