The 10 TV Shows You Need to Watch and Stream From 2024

The year is ending, so it’s time to go back down the witches’ road and bring you the can’t-miss TV of 2024.

ADWEEK’s “best of” TV and streaming list is a little different from others. Though plenty of lists will include the usual prestige players, we’re changing things up and bringing you the shows from 2024 that you just need to watch. That could be for quality, it could be for social impact, or it could be because the country just discovered that Mormon wives have secret lives—and there’s a so-called Ben Affleck relative in the mix? Someone guard the Dunkin’ Donuts!

Whether you like interviews with the undead, seeing Colin Farrell as a penguin, or don’t mind hearing the phrase “#MomTok” over and over (and over), consider ADWEEK your “man on the inside” for the shows from 2024 you need to watch.

10. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives (Hulu)

Utah is having a bit of an unscripted reality TV moment.

If you’re a Bravo stan you’ll be well aware that the most recent season of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City delivered some jaw-dropping IRL Gossip Girl-esque drama. Meanwhile, over on Hulu, viewers have been getting a rare peek into The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

The latter, unexpected show follows a group of thirtysomething Mormon TikTok influencers. Some of the faces have been known to fans since 2020 as members of dance-based TikTok series #MomTok, which subverted stereotypes associated with conservative Mormon housewives.

The opener was shot months after a swinging sex scandal, exposed by MomTok member Taylor Frankie Paul, rocked the group and made international headlines.

The first episode alone was Hulu’s most-watched unscripted premiere of 2024. It explored the aftermath of the scandal, uncovered a secret Tinder account, and ended with an arrest for domestic violence.

The remaining episodes are just as action-packed. The cast members feel a little less polished than their Bravo Utah rivals too, engaging in candid discussions about friendship, sexuality, feminism, religion, and family life.
