The introduction of new foldable smartphones seems to be the latest trend in the mobile industry. The tech giant was the first to enter this segment and later the other brands followed the same path seeing the attraction of consumers towards the foldable devices. Many smartphone brands have entered the foldable device segment this year whereas the ones who have already entered this segment have introduced new foldable devices.
In the month of March OnePlus also announced that it will be soon entering this segment with its first foldable device. Although the exact launch date or timeline was not revealed by the company. There were various rumors and speculations regarding this upcoming device meanwhile the fans and tech enthusiasts were just curious to have a look at this upcoming device. Well, the wait is finally over as famous tipster Steve H. McFly who goes by @OnLeaks via Smartprix on Twitter has now revealed the first look of this much-awaited device in collaboration with Smartprix.
The reveal of the first look has finally put the end to reports which were claiming that the foldable device by OnePlus will be the rebranded version of the Oppo Find N2 Flip. From the images, it could be said that both the devices will be different from each other.
The upcoming device is revealed to feature faux leather back which will not only make the smartphone look classy but will also be comfortable for the users to hold. While the smartphone will pack up a triple rear camera setup along with the iconic Hasselband branding on the circular camera module.
The signature feature of OnePlus which is the alert slider will be included in the upcoming device. The power button of the foldable device also integrates the fingerprint sensor. While the slim bezels on the front have also not gone unnoticed.
While folded the front camera can be seen at the center of the device whereas on unfolding the device the front camera appears on the left side corner of the device. There is also a triple speaker system present on the smartphone while the hinge mechanism of the device seems to be taken from Oppo Find N2 Flip and Galaxy Z foldable smartphones.
The moniker name of the upcoming device is still not cleared but it is assumed that it might be called as OnePlus Fold or OnePlus V Fold. But still, we need to wait for confirmation by the brand.
