Apple announced the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models in September, with a boatload of front-facing additions. While the standard models received their share of notable improvements, the ‘Pro’ models get a wide range of innovative features that will complement the company’s forthcoming Vision Pro headset. iPhone 15 Pro models can record spatial video, which can be viewed in Vision Pro for an immersive experience. The company showcased the feature at its Vision Pro announcement event, and ahead of its launch, it is about time that you start making use of the feature.
Users should start stockpiling Spatial Videos through their iPhone 15 Pro as Vision Pro launch nears
Apple released iOS 17.2 recently, with many significant upgrades for the iPhone. On the iPhone 15 Pro models, you now get the option to record spatial video. The video will appear standard on the handset, but viewing it in Vision Pro changes everything. Apple has taken the augmented reality experience to a whole new level, as Raymond Wong from Inverse suggested. Wong suggests users should start stockpiling spatial videos before Vision Pro’s launch.
The notion only applies if you plan to get the Vision Pro for yourself when it launches at a $3,499 price tag. Wong states that he had the opportunity to try out Apple’s Vision Pro, where he was allowed to bring 15 photos, videos, panoramas, and spatial video. According to Wong, “spatial videos hit different” with an immersive and dream-like experience. He also stated that the spatial videos take you back in time. The Vision Pro is Apple’s latest addition to its product line, and while the industry has mixed reviews, the impact of the headset remains to be seen. The headset encompasses an amalgamation of advanced software algorithms paired with a handful of sensors that capture and process the real world. Apple has not given us an exact time frame for the Vision Pro’s launch, but the headset will arrive sooner than anticipated.
